New Features for 2021-7  (July, 2021)
1)  How to Begin - notes to help you get started with the module
 
Each modules in the Theatre Inventory Database now has a "How to Begin" button in the upper right hand corner of the screen/data entry form.  It opens a Popup (like the one below) to help new users with the basic features of the screen.
 
 
2)  Activity Reports for Checkouts and Rentals -
Can't remember what you checked out or in recently ? There is a new "Activity Report for Checkouts / Check-ins".  Enter the in the dates you want to check and see all the items checked out, checked in or sent to the cleaners.  Go to the "Checkout / Rental Menu" and then go to "Reports" and look for the  "Activity Report" option.
 
 
3)  On the "Receipt No Fees" and "Current Checkout"  Receipt/Invoice reports the total Replacement Costs will be listed for all items not returned.
 
Even if you don't charge a rental fee you still want to know the total for the Replacement costs of all the items not returned.  The No Fees and Current Checkout receipts now display the total replacement costs.
 
 
 
4)  The Individual or Organization for a Checkout or Rental can now be easily changed after the record has been created. 
 
If you create a Checkout or Rental record but find out that you entered the wrong information or the customer wants the rental in the name of their company and not their own name, you can change the name or organization with the "Change Name" / "Change Organization Name" buttons.  You can select the correct name/organization from the Drop-down box.
 
 
 
5)  New Search option to search Costume Name and Description at one time.  New Search option to search Props/Set Name, Description and Materials at one time.  New Search option to search Jewelry by Name and Description.  This can speed up searches to you don't have to search the Name, Description fields in 2 different searches.

6)  New "Source" Table for Costume Pieces, Props/Sets, Wigs and Jewelry
 
The Source Field has always been a plain text field where you can type in the source of the garment or prop/set, etc.  Now you can enter Source names in the Sources table (on the Utilities Menu).  On the Costume Piece (Props/Sets, Wigs, Jewelry) you can write the source of the item in the Source field or take it off a Drop-Down List.  You can use the "Source" drop down box on the Search menu as well.
 
 
7)  "OK to Rent" field moved.
 
The "Ok to Rent" field has been moved to the upper right corner of the Costume Pieces and Props/Sets forms.  This will make it easier to see that important field.  In order to check-out or rent an item the "Ok To Rent" field must be marked as "Yes".   When a new Costume Piece or Prop/set piece is added the "Ok to Rent" field will be set to "Yes".
 
 
 
 
8)  The "Scripts" module will no longer be included in the Elite Database software. 
 
The Scripts and Sheet Music databases will be available as Add-ons ($25 each).
 
 
9)  Patterns - Display PDF files for PDF-Only patterns
 
  You can display up to 2 PDF files per pattern on "PDF   " tab on the Patterns form.  The "Storage Location" of the file can be the drive/folder name.  Click on the "Pattern PDF" tab.  Click on the "Load PDF #1 File"  button.  To view the PDF, click on the "View PDF #1 File" button to view in your computer's PDF reader/viewer.
 
 
 
 
 
New Features for 2021-2
 
1)  Pattern Inventory Database - New Fields
 
 
You can see from this diagram the changes to the form:
 
1)  The Category and Time Period fields have moved.
2)  New Fields have been added for Designer Name, Envelope, Cut/Uncut Pattern, Vender and Date Added to the Collection.
 
The Search options have also been expanded:
 
 
You can search by Designer and Vendor - plus look for Pattern records that are missing the Pattern Company, Time Period, Category, Country and Designer.
 
2.  Props/Sets - New fields - Height, Width, Depth, Weight
 
The options for listing the size of a Prop/Set piece has expanded to include Height, Width, Depth and Weight.
 
 
The reports of Props/Sets by Category, Type and Item have been updated to include the Height, Width and Depth.
 
 
3)  Print out contents of the Utility Lookup Tables for Costume Pieces, Props/Sets and Patterns
 
 
You may print out the contents of the Lookup tables to help you edit them and know what is in the list.
 
1.  Go to the Utilities menu (Costume Pieces, Props/Sets or Patterns)
2.  Select Print Utility Table Values
3.  Pick the tables you want to print
4.  Click on Print Report
 
4)  Change the order of the Tabs on Costume Pieces and Props/Sets
 
You can change the order of the tabs on the Costume Pieces and Props/Sets forms.
 
 
1.  Go to the Utilities Menu
2.  Select Change order of Tabs
3.  Change the 'Sort Order' for the tabs
4.  Click on Update and Close
5.  Go to the Costumes Pieces (or Props/Sets) form to see the change.
 
 
 
 
5)  Export Costumes to Excel - A new export of limited fields has been added to the Utilities menu to export some of the fields to an Excel spreadsheet that can be loaded on the web.  See this webpage for more information:  https://www.support.costumeinventory.com/excel-test.  Contact us for more information.
 
 
6)  The Theatre and Props-Only databases have been updated to work in the 32 bit and 64 bit environment.  They will also work in the MS Access Runtime - with some limitations.  The Runtime will not permit you to rotate photos or use some of the memory saving tools that run in the background.
