Repair / Alteration History

Repair and Alteration History

You can create multiple repair and alterations records for each costume piece.  Look for the Repair / Alterations tab on the bottom half of the screen.

Note -This feature was added in version 7-10.  If you want to upgrade to this (or newer) version of the database your current Costume Repair data will be moved to the Repair History tab.

There are several fields to track any repairs or alterations  - a Needs Repair check box, an Alterations check box, a description field, date repaired and a field for the name of the person who did the repairs.  If a garment needs repair - the check box can be marked and a description of  the repairs or alterations needed can be entered.

Once the "Needs Repair" box is checked the words "Needs Repair" will appear at the top of the screen in red.  Once the repair is completed you can un-check the box.

The Zoom button opens a bigger screen to enter more data.

There is also a button to print a 3 x 5 card with the repair information.  This card can then be placed on the hanger so that the costume shop staff can know what repairs are needed.  You can punch a hold in the square to put the card over a hanger.

Once a garment is repaired the repair date can be entered on the Zoom form along with the name of who did the repair.  A message will be displayed to remind you that the record should be updated to remove the “Needs Repair” check mark.
